Penguins Ice Cream has been a family-owned homemade ice cream store in Loveland, CO for over a decade! The Whitaker family took over ownership in 2007 and moved the store to its present location on Madison Avenue where it won the Reporter Herald's Reader's Choice award for Best Ice Cream 4 years in a row.
Following its closure in November of 2011, Penguins began to redirect its course as an online retailer instead of a brick-and-mortar shopfront--and we're still making the same great ice cream!
Now, you can place your order online and pick it up in-store Fridays from 4-8PM. It's that easy!
The Facts
- You can trust our quality, standards, and local focus. We're Lovelanders just like you!
- Our dairy contains no corn syrup, no eggs, and no hormones. (Add-ins like cookie dough chunks or blue moon flavoring may contain egg or corn syrup.)
- In fact, the base for all of our ice cream is a mixture of milk, sugar, and cream with a premium 14% butterfat content. 3 simple ingredients! (contains less than 1% cellulose gel, cellulose gum, and carrageenan.)
- We use natural ingredients and extracts whenever possible--why put artificial vanilla "flavoring" in your ice cream when you can put actual Madagascar vanilla extract in it??
- We also offer. . .
---Sorbets -- dairy free, fat free, and usually flavored with fruit juice
---Tart Yogurt -- fat free, and contains live active probiotic cultures
---No Sugar Added Gelato -- fat free, sweetened with Splenda instead of sugar, and available for custom order with a variety of sugar free mix-ins!
- Every recipe is tested, evaluated, and perfected by our staff, and guided by our patrons--your--taste.
- And every gallon is frozen in our batch freezer which produces just 5 gallons at a time so we can guarantee the quality of every last bite.
- We aren't satisfied unless you are. If there is any problem with your order we would be more than happy to exchange or refund it.
